Do you charge an online booking fee?

No. We do not charge an online booking fee for bookings made directly with the hotel. It is important to note that there may be booking fee charges or amendment/cancellation fees incurred via online travel agents. These are set at the discretion of the individual online travel agent.

What time is check-in?

Check-in time is 2pm. While every effort will be made to accommodate early arrivals, this will be dependent on availability and at the discretion of each property. For guaranteed arrival prior to 2pm, a room must be booked for the night night prior – extra charges will apply.

What time is check-out?

Check-out time is 10am. While every effort will be made to accommodate requirements for a late checkout, this will be dependent on availability. Fees may apply for a guaranteed late check out.

Do you have swimming pool?

No, there is a public swimming pool located at Melbourne City Baths on Swanston Street. It is approximately a 12 minute walk. An entry fee will apply. See our reception team for a map.

Can I speak to a real person?

Yes, we have a 24 hours reception available to offer you the best level of customer service and security.

Do I need a credit card to make a booking?

Yes. A valid credit card is required at time of booking and a valid credit card must be presented at time of check in.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

No. When you book directly with us via phone or email we do not require a deposit. We will take a credit card number as a guarantee but no charges will be made to your card until arrival.

What is your cancellation policy?

A cancellation fee of one night's accommodation will apply to any booking cancelled within 24 hours of the arrival time. In the event of a no show your credit card will be charged for one nights accommodation.

Do I need to show identification?

Upon arrival at The Jazz Corner Hotel guests will be required to provide valid photo identification (drivers license or passport). The booking must be under the name of the guest who is checking in. In addition, the guest must provide a credit card in the same name as the identification.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners) and cash. The credit card surcharge for Visa & Mastercard is 2% and 3.5% for Diners, AMEX.

Can I earn Qantas Frequent Flyer (QFF) points?

Unfortunately you cannot earn QFF points at the hotel.

I need to conduct a meeting during my stay – what are my options?

In-apartment meeting facilities – The Jazz Corner Hotel offers wireless internet access and separate living, dining, and sleeping areas in our one and two bedroom apartments. This allows for small meetings to be conducted in your apartment, separate to your personal sleeping space.

Does you have a business centre?

No, we do however offer business services such as printing or faxing via our reception.

Do I have to do my own dish washing and make the bed?

The Jazz Corner Hotel offers a daily housekeeping service. A light service is conducted daily with a full room service completed every 4 days. We also offer guests a laundry and dry cleaning service via reception. In addition, all rooms feature a dishwasher and a washer/dryer for your convenience.

What are my food and beverage options?

The Jazz Corner Hotel offers a range of dining options for our guests within the hotel  The Jazz Corner Café opens for breakfast and lunch  Bird's Upstairs for lunch and dinner  Bird’s Basement for dinner and a Jazz show  Skybird for breakfast (opening soon). All of our dining venues offer a chargeback to your guest room account.

What is the parking situation?

Secure car parking is available nearby. Guest driving will find a 5 minute drop-off zone at the front of the hotel that allows you to drop off your luggage.

Do you valet park?

No, we do not offer this service.

Do you have gym facilities at the hotel

Yes, we do have an extensive Gym available to guest in the hotel. The Gym is open to guest access only from 6am to 10pm daily.

How much is wifi access?

It’s free! You will receive all login details when you check in to the hotel. Need to be plugged in during lobby time or elsewhere around the hotel? Ask reception for the correct details.

Can I smoke in my room?

Smoking is not permitted within the hotel so if you really must, its time to head outside.

I’m travelling with an infant do you have a cot available?

We offer our guests a Baby Pack which includes a cot, linen, change table, high chair and a baby bath. This is charged at $22 per night. Please advise us when you make your booking if you require a Baby Pack.
